When a family member or the individual with an addiction calls to inquire, the respect and courtesy begins. People come here to get better, to heal and get the life they deserve back. MIA is one of the best places to do this, they care from the top down. Everyone is available to answer questions, including the president. MIA wants the very best for every individual. If you or someone you know or love needs addiction treatment or even counseling, MIA is there.
Have almost 4 years soberity cuz of this place. The groups and staff were the best a lot better than na or aa. They really give u gr8 tools on getting and staying sober. This place saved my life most definitely I never thought I could be happy or deserve to be happy and now I'm sober healthier and have a beautiful amazing 9 month old son. I would have never been healthy enough or sober to have such a beautiful child without this place only thing that sucks is the price and with my insurance I didn't get of my money back. 5000 dollars to get sober very pricy but was worth it when it comes to my life. I definitely feel stronger physically and emotionally bcuz of Midwest institute. I would love to come back and do outreach work and maybe even be a guess speaker and share my story. Thank u Midwest for giving me a second chance at life and happiness. When I see negative reviews I don't believe it. It's probably from people who weren't serious about getting sober. No midwest does not tolerate that u show up high or drunk for the meetings u can trigger others and hurt there soberity so u can be kicked our for that. This place is only for ones who really want to get sober and up to doing the work to get there. I miss this place I definitely wish I could just go to a group anytime just to say hi and help others. I really felt a connection with my group we definitely helped each other and lifted each other up on bad days. They even gave me a goodbye party and brought me cheesecake and snacks. I miss the group and hope everyone is happy and staying sober. I'm really glad I found MIA. And to the people saying Scott is rude that's far from the truth he made my mom and I feel very welcome there as well as the staff. If your an addict and want your life back call MIA
I have been employed with this agency for four years. It is ethically sound, and on the cutting-edge of addiction treatment. Counselors are highly competent and trained, and provide a rich therapeutic environment for people to recover from addiction. I consider it the best treatment in the greater St. Louis area, which is why I stay, and devote my life to helping others in this great environment. While working on my doctorate degree, this organization supported me and encouraged me. Addiction is complex, and it takes a team effort to ensure that every client has a maximized potential and a new life.
MIA has been a god send to my friend and her family. Her and all of us see a great future for her with MIA.
My good friend sought help at MIA and she was very pleased with the service she was provided. They have wonderful doctors and therapists who are understanding and dedicated to your recovery. The clinic overall makes you very comfortable, looked after, and welcomed.
Thank God I found this place! They not only helped my get and stay sober, they also helped me reconnect with my family and repair the relationships that were destroyed by my addiction. The staff is awesome, compassionate, supportive, and professional—they helped me every step of the way. I've never been to another treatment center before this one, but I've heard enough stories and have compared notes with enough people who have to learn I made the right move by coming to Midwest Institute for Addiction! They saved my life and made it worth living again. I have never felt so grateful.
If you made the decision to face your problems with addiction and/or alcohol, the next step you should take is to go to Midwest Institute for Addiction. I can't say enough about M.I.A.! They support you every step of the way while you rebuild your life and learn how to live an awesome sober life like a rockstar. Unlike most rehabs, M.I.A. isn't just another 12 step recovery program you have to pay for. Every stage of treatment is overseen by licensed professionals—even the groups are lead by therapists. They have a more evidence-based and holistic approach to recovery and everyone’s treatment is specific to their needs...there is no cookie cutter approach to recovery at this place which is SO refreshing! I owe them more than I can ever pay back. The added bonus is—they take insurance!
If this place has popped up in your search, STOP NOW! When I say everything you need is here Iam serious. They've not only found the best possible way known to man (My family and I have done extensive research) to get clean they've also been availible 24/7 via cell phone (like any hospital should) and have been extremely caring and concerned, instead of the usual hurry off the phone! THANKS AGAIN INSYNERGY!!
I have worked with this facility for some time, both with the staff and their patients. They have created a great name for themselves among the community of patients and professionals. They put the patient at the center of what they do and it shows.
Mid West Institute for Addiction is a great place to work. The staff have become my second family. The care and concern for the clients is based on commitment and concern for recovery and helping each client with an individual plan. Mid West Institute for Addiction is a uniquely positive experience.
I had the opportunity to work at MIA. MIA has high quality professionals and is way ahead of the game in the field of Addiction. I recommend it to anyone.
